Helping people find the right lawyer.
“TALK TO MORE THAN ONE ATTORNEY”
At the bottom of this webpage, there are links to some of the best online lawyer search services out there. What they will give you is a listing of attorneys who accept cases like yours. They may also include ratings by past clients. But none of these services will tell you which lawyer they would choose.
I do.
However you find them, you should definitely talk to more than one attorney. If you let me, I’ll use my 22 years of experience working with and against lawyers in recommending one for you to consider.
You’re under no obligation, financial or otherwise, until you’ve made your choice.
Finding the right lawyer can be tough. Let me help.
About Ken McNeil
After winning Harvard Law School’s Williston Contracts Competition in his first year, he graduated to one of Chicago’s largest and most prestigious firms. When the Illinois Supreme Court found a major school governance law unconstitutional, he developed the election format subsequently enacted by the state legislature. Returning to private practice after three years as General Counsel for the Lieutenant Governor, Illinois judges appointed him to represent nearly 100 children as their guardian ad litem.
Finding the right lawyer can be tough. Let me help.

You should not have to
tolerate poor representation.
I have assembled the GOOD COUNSEL NETWORK (“GCN”) to help people who might not otherwise know how to find a great lawyer. If there is no one already in our Network capable of handling your case, I will find for you the lawyer that I would use, applying to the endeavor my 22 years of experience working with and against lawyers.
And you have this further assurance:
When I make a referral, the Illinois Supreme Court’s rules make me responsible for the quality of your representation right along with the attorney receiving your case. Therefore, not only will I help in addressing any problem you encounter, whether it be inattention to your case, failing to return phone calls, or whatever; if ever you end up having to fire one of our lawyers,
then so do I.
An attorney can get quite a bit of business through the Network, so the loss of all future GCN referrals can hurt a bit more than the loss of just one dissatisfied client.
I expect the people I send to a lawyer to be treated right.
It’s my version of accountability.
